8" x 10" Manipulated Papers on Canvas
A friend had done some nice abstracts using paper she manipulated with Citrasolv. Today I spent quite a bit of the day working on a floral magazine collage and I needed a break. The other day I tried the Citrasolv on some magazine pages. So I played around with a small canvas and some of the papers. The results made me thing of cave dwellings.
No clue what Citrasolve does for collage work...but it sure looks and sounds like you had a good time playing with it. I like the effect of a picture window in the cave (upper right corner) with a bit of trees seen in the distance. Yes, I am always looking for a tangible in the abstract! LoL
Sherri, hi! A friend told me about using this solvent on National Geographics, which I did not have. I think they are recommended because of the quality of paper and ink. You paint all the pages and let it sit for 15 minutes. The ink runs and forms interesting patterns. I am hoping to get the right magazines, but it also gave me thoughts about making my own pages with liquid acrylics.
